Judith Weltmann

Judith Weltmann has more than 35 years experience in professional leadership and administrative management for major US law firms.  Judi has particular law firm expertise in human resource management, benefit supervision, operations, budget development and control, strategic planning and branch office management.

Judi’s past and current affiliations include being an inaugural member of the American Legal Association (ALA) and serving on the Boards of Directors of numerous national human resource and legal marketing associations.  Judi is responsible for advising ProLawInsurance on the wants and needs of law firms in the group disability market and keeping the company current on all issues and developments affecting law firms today.

Judi graduated from the University of Massachusetts with a Masters degree in Human Resource Management and from Springfield College with a Bachelor of Science degree.

Gary F. Weltmann

Gary F. Weltmann has been a principal in several law firms since 1994 and has more than 20 years experience as a contract litigator and transactional lawyer.  Gary also has more than 10 years experience as the managing shareholder of an insurance agency which he founded and grew from a local Maryland state agency with two employees to one licensed nationally and having more than 100 employees.  Gary has been designated a Group Benefits Disability Specialist (GBDS) by the National Underwriter Company and focuses on plan design, contractual consultation and analysis, marketing, product development and point of sale support.

Gary graduated from Washington College of Law at The American University (1989) with a Juris Doctorate degree and from Lehigh University (1986) with a Bachelor of Science (Finance) degree.

William T. Lawrence

When it comes to disability insurance contract plan analysis and consultation, Bill Lawrence is known nationally by many in the disability insurance market as the “Contract Guru.”  Bill has nearly 25 years experience providing consulting services, marketing plan development, sales/service management, training and product delivery for professional groups (primarily physician and lawyer groups) with some of the nation’s largest disability carriers. 

Bill began his insurance career as a local and regional service and administration manager with Unum on the West Coast, and opened its Utah group sales office.  During his tenure as the National Product Director for Medical Group Insurance Services (MGIS), he was intimately involved with developing two disability contract series, including several new provisions that have become the model for most carriers’ products.  Consulting for The Hartford, Bill was instrumental in sales development in the professional (physicians and attorney)group disability sector, as well as developing and presenting training, broker development and finalist presentations. He was one of the primary figures contributing to The Hartford’s growth of its physician segment.

Bill earned a B.A. from the University of California at Berkeley and then served 12 years on active duty in the US Air Force.  He holds a Master’s of Business Administration (MBA) degree and is a licensed insurance producer in the continental US.  He is the author of numerous continuing education courses, including an internet based course relating to physician group disability that is certified for over 10 credit hours in most states (through ceu.com).

Kristi Shahnazarian

Kristi Shahnazarian has spent the last ten years in various high level administrative, marketing and service oriented capacities on two sides of the insurance industry. She has been a medical practitioner for several large hospital systems and has worked with Fortune 100 insurance carriers as an administrative and marketing liaison. 

Kristi’s day to day activities include client service coordination, administration and the servicing of all accounts.  She is also directly involved in maintaining the company’s long term relationships with carrier partners and serves as the liaison between ProLawInsurance and carrier administration, underwriting and claims departments. 

Kristi earned her Masters of Science degree from San Francisco State University and her Bachelor of Science Degree from The University of Utah.
